Accommodation and support at Sanctuary Trust

Sanctuary Trust provides safe, welcoming accommodation across three houses in Jersey, each offering a different level of support depending on an individual’s circumstances. Our approach is trauma informed and person centred, recognising that everyone’s journey is unique.

If we cannot offer accommodation immediately, we will still provide guidance, advice and referrals to local services.

No one is left without support.

First step:
Sanctuary House

Located in St Aubin, Sanctuary House is our main residential property and the base for our team and counselling service. It accommodates up to 10 individuals and is staffed 24/7, ensuring help is on hand whenever it’s needed.

Sanctuary House provides a safe, calm and welcoming environment for men experiencing homelessness. The house feels homely and supportive, offering space to reflect and rebuild. With access to support workers and counselling, individuals can explore the challenges they are facing and start to build a foundation for greater stability.

From here, some people move on to independent living, while others continue their journey in one of our secondary houses.

Next step: our
secondary houses

Sanctuary Lodge in Beaumont and our house in New Street offer more independent accommodation for individuals who are ready for a different setting and level of support.

When someone feels ready to move on, we work alongside them to find suitable housing, access essential items and ensure outreach support continues where needed.

Our allotment: a space
to grow and reconnect

Tucked away in a peaceful corner of St Brelade, our allotment is a space for connection, wellbeing and time outdoors. It offers residents a calm environment where they can learn new skills and take part in meaningful activities.

The fruit and vegetables grown here help provide meals at Sanctuary House, creating an important cycle of care and sustainability. The allotment also supports confidence and a sense of purpose, from planting and harvesting to maintaining the space and spending time in nature.

It’s also a place for community. We host small gatherings and informal activities at the allotment, offering a relaxed setting where conversations come easily and progress can be recognised and celebrated. We also welcome organisations to come along and help with gardening.
